More and more i find myself expecting less of people, and limiting friends. More and more it becomes apparent that we were meant to live this life alone. Well, for all it's worth, I think plan B is good, stick to it. As for your friend, screw her, eventually she'll learn, when it's too late of course, and she'll really regret it, and the first that would come up to her mind is you.
