For the Love of i*maginate…
Truth be told, I’m so no longer interested in the blogging scene. Most bloggers piss me off with the same redundant bullshit being spat from their mouths, and those who don’t simply don’t blog often enough to keep me entertained. I have a short attention span.
I have other things to do these days. Can’t be assed to spit my opinion about anything to people I don’t know, who don’t really give a shit anyway. Blogging seems like a beauty pageant/popularity contest that I don’t want to be a part of. And very few of the facades (even my own) are real.
Maybe I’ll change my mind eventually, but for the time being I’m just not interested in sharing my thoughts with anyone I can’t touch in real life.
For those of you who have emailed me, and your notes have gone seemingly ignored, my last entry should hint, I’m depressed. I’m thoroughly working on isolating myself in my own house, and I rarely leave even for the slightest of reasons. Aside from the occasional needed trip to grocery store, or the short drive to drop my son or pick him up from school, I go nowhere. I rarely pick up my phone and I just don’t want to bother with anything or anyone. Call me a selfish bitch, decide I’m not worth your time, whatever. It’s not going to change what I think and feel about the world right now.
I simply have nothing to say just now. I’m not ignoring you, personally. I just have no interest in anything at all – other than taking care of my son and making my jewelry and selling it online peacefully. I can be nice doing that. I like being nice more than I do the bitch that’s demanded of me here.
I’m considering finding a shrink before I end up one of those 70-year-old women who is witness to a horrific crime from her balcony, only to be called to court to testify where she’s torn personally to shreds for her account of the incident because she’s not left her house in the last fifty years – her reality must be distorted.
But until I do… don’t count on me having much to say.

Personally, the UAE Blogging scene has changed alot since I started and most of my 'UAE Blogging Clique' whose sites I normally frequent do not even post regularly anymore. Check the links on my site...people (including myself) are taking month long breaks between posts now.
Anyway I have so much drama in my real life, Blogging seems kinda redundant.

Hope everything goes well for you and your son.
While blogging is therapeutic in so many ways - it also helps to take a break from it. Sometimes the pressure is on so high that you tend to forget the reason you started the blog in the first place, weighing other people's entertainment value far above your own life. We took a month long break - no we're back a lot more refreshed. So take your time coming back, coz of the transient nature of this scene - you'll always know you have an audience.

In all honesty, I really just wanted to say thank you. You are one of the few bloggers I respect highly, who carries an opinion I loved reading and enjoyed hearing from.
Since I'm rather mean and horrible in public on that blog, I decided it best to send this private.
Nothing profound, except an admission that you really do have my utmost respect. And I hope you continue doing what it is you do on those blogs.

Listen lovergirl, I wish you'd keep posting. I remember when I started blogging I linked you on my blog and kept returning to read your posts and wish you'd post as you seem to have in the past. Sure, you are voicing your opinions to people who you might not give a shit, but this blogging world does serve a purpose in that it helps connect people and on another level, perhaps bring you closer in a way, in terms of common thoughts. I understand some ppl like anonymouse don't give up, but who gives a shit about them anyway...If you're going through some troubles why don't you jot them down...some of us do give a shit...and if most bloggers don't excite you enough, then forget about them and continue to be the blogger that excites us! I think my comment sounds a little gay (forgive the non pc word here) but I just had to get it out ;)

Hey lovergirl, are you still reading this? I can't believe I didn't do this sooner but I've more or less skimmed all your blogpost titles and the beginnings - yeah, and I did read a couple too. My previous comments to you on various posts have only been based on a few posts I had read of yours, so I really didn't know you had so many interesting AND RARE opinions of the UAE and the UAE Community blog, that I'm pleased to only just learn we share.
It's a damn shame I didn't start blogging sooner as it would have been nice to see more people post about what they believe in rather than "kiss ass" as some UAE Community admins put it (in different words). Well, I've only just discovered what you mean about SD & Sam. You're spot on about them.
Anyway I'll be in touch again about this later, in the mean time check out my latest post on desperate princess dated 6th july, and click on the link underlined "opinion" in the same post, which will take you to the uae community blogspot post. Bunch of "free-speech-hypocrites" those dudes are.
I don't know really if you can be bothered to even read the posts I've mentioned above referring to a *popular blog*- maybe you just can't be bothered with those dudes SD et al anymore.
Anyway just wanted to share my thoughts with you since you've done a darn good job for standing up for what you believe in, and one of the rare few who does, if I may say so.

I'm still around lova... But at this very moment I'm heading out the door. I'll be sure to check out some of your earlier posts... But in all honesty, I couldn't give a rats ass about most of that anymore.
I blog. And I will continue to do so. I'm NOT a part of the UAE community blog, and I don't wish to be. Though I always have been and probably always will be more UAE than most of them bloggers. I actually DO care about the UAE. That's the difference~
