How is it that this 14-year-old girl, who was raped and murdered by an American soldier, suddenly becomes a woman in the eyes of the international media?

It is because according to Islam there is no ‘age’ limit on marriage, thus meaning no legal age for ‘sex’? If that’s the case, rape is punishable by death according to Islam and I hope this man gets executed.
Is it because the crime is heinous enough, and there’s no need to point out the ‘little’ details that make it all the more disturbing? If that’s the case, bravo to world who missed the pedophilia in this case and once again protected their eyes and hearts from the true extent of someone else’s torture.
Is it because he’s already being charged with enough and the American justice system is lenient on criminals with personality disorders? If this is the case, may all those who believe in the American justice system, use that very system to get away with multiple atrocities while getting charged with very few. May the American justice system be the root cause for chaos to truly be known to that very public.

No, CNN isn’t biased in the least sense! No! CNN isn’t trying to down-play this horrific incident! AT LEAST most other publications had the decency to correctly label this child as a ‘girl’ and not a woman.

I read about this yesterday and its sickening. Its pathetic how the media manipulates the facts.

You mean like the incident in (were was it, Switzerland?) not so long ago, where the blond woman, who wasn't killed but was raped by a few Arab's... who wasn't a child but an adult, had her face plastered all over the media for sympathy?

Major media is biased; 100% agreed. You see a cover-up is required for a case as sensitive as the current one, this is done not to invoke emotions and inflamme an ember, hence, distortion must becomes a must.

To address your claim about why he's not been charged with pedophilia, I reckon no (crime) definition as 'pedophilia' exists in US law to set a precedent for current & future prosecution.
If you think CNN is biased, you clearly haven't watched FOX News. Although the FOX News website carries the same AP report as most others. If you look carefully, you'll notice that the stories are exactly the same (including the word), except that the word girl has been replaced by female.
BTW, this doesn't quite qualify as pedophilia, just as men who have sex with men in jail aren't considered gay.
Rape and murder carry a much bigger sentence. My hope is that now that its out in public, the legal system will be well aware that they will be judged for fairness.

Why wasn't 'child sex abuse' mentioned? Which IS a crime in America. 14 is NOT the legal age in America. Why has no one noted that he is a pedophile? And as far as I can see, this guy is being charged according to American Military law... Death sentence is on the table because of that.
